Public debt, climate risk and energy markets.
I'm Shaheed, from Maldives. I've worked across economic development, statistics, tax and public finance in Maldives, in government ministries and state-owned enterprises.
I'm completing a PhD in Economics at the University of York. The first chapter looks at debt sustainability, and the second at how climate change and climate-related disasters affect sovereign bond yields. The third explores Australia's National Electricity Market, and I'm currently researching how AEMO and the energy-only market work.
I work with data every day, using Stata, Python, Power BI and LaTeX, and I have foundational training in PLEXOS energy modelling.
I'm looking for analytics, policy or research roles in energy markets or economic development.
